Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) uses policy and financial incentives to encourage producers to design environmentally friendly products by holding them responsible for the costs of managing their products and packaging at the end of life. This approach differs from product stewardship and is based on the principle that producers have the greatest ability and responsibility to reduce product impacts.

Join colleagues at the Michigan Recycling Coalition's Fall Into Recycling event to learn more about EPR and how this policy approach supports cost-effective, convenient recycling and disposal services.
